Phoebe loves the outdoors and has the full run of the backyard, so she will need a fenced area to keep her from exploring the neighborhood. She is excellent in the house, and is house and crate trained. Phoebe is always eager to meet people and does especially well with children, from babies on up. . Phoebe loves to go for walks, knows some commands, will lift her paws for you when they need to be dried, and will let you rub her belly all day long. Lucky is a very laid back , low maintenance, sweet boy. He loves people(big and small) and just wants to be near you . He can not get enough good belly rubs. Lucky gets along with dogs too. We have not cat tested him yet. He walks well on the leash and is housebroken. His owner had to move quickly and could not take him. Yes Yogi might be afraid of his own shadow but when it sneaks up on him , he has to investigate. A fenced yard and a canine friend would be his best option. Jai Jai is extremely well behaved in the house. He is VERY good at matching the foster's energy. He's very low key they're watching tv or relaxing, usually finding a comfy spot close tothem and naps. On the other hand, when its time to play fetch, a stick or toy will keep him entertained forever. Jai Jai is extremely gentle about taking treats and to be honest seems to prefer a good scratch behind the ears instead. Unlike most dogs, Jai Jai actually wags his tail up and down instead of side to side.When he's really excited it spins like an airplane propeller. This handsome dog just appeared in someones backyard. He jumped over their privacy fence. He was in good condition wearing a nice collar.He knows how to sit, lie down, roll over, give you his paw, and loves to go for car rides. He came with these skills. Someone really loved him. He spent several weeks at animal control waitng for his owner to claim him. Signs were put up around the neighborhood. No one came. The good neighbor called us to save Brad Pit. He is an awesome dog. Strong and Sweet are the two adjectives that best describe him. He gets along great with female dogs. He has nice house manners. He does not mind a crate. He loves people. Especially people that will take him for a walk or ride. He clears 6 ft fences with ease so actually no fenced yard is required. But he MUST be kept on a leash at all time. Not too worry about excercising him. He knows how to jog on the treadmill. A trainer started to teach him and soon found out Brad knew all about treadmills.

Rosie may be an older dog, but still very athletic! Her demeanor in the home is laid back and relaxed, but put a leash on her and she is ready to go! She loves walks, car rides and enjoys a good squirrel chase. Rosie gets along well with other dogs , but is perfectly happy to be an only dog. She is a little shy at first but will soon give out kisses freely.

Cotton was turned in by a hunter who didn’t find her useful anymore because of her failing eyesight. The hunter asked the vet to euthanize her but that caring vet called ART to help because Cotton is so special! She is playful and affectionate and is enjoying the good life in her foster home and her foster mom, who had never experienced life with a sight-challenged dog has this to say about life with Cotton, “Within 48 hours, she had figured out all the steps and angles in our house and yard and she loves playing with our other dogs; her joy for living in spite of her disability has been an inspiration to us!” Cotton is crate trained and the perfect housedog for someone who wants a low maintenance, loving family member.
